WhatsApp review request templates to copy and paste

Copy-and-paste WhatsApp messages for asking Google reviews: plain English, a relaxed Singlish-friendly tone, industry versions and one polite reminder.A good WhatsApp review request is short, names the job, says thank you, and includes your direct Google review link. Send it the same day, in the customer’s preferred language, and remind once. Below are copy-and-paste messages in plain English and a light Singlish-friendly tone, plus reminders and replies, ready to adjust to your own voice.
The anatomy of a message that gets read
Every strong review request has the same four parts. Once you know them, you can write your own in under a minute.
Four parts of a review request
- 1
Greeting by name
Hi Mr Tan. A name shows this is meant for them.
- 2
Thank you plus the job
Thanks for letting us service your two aircon units today.
- 3
The ask
If you were happy, a short Google review would help us.
- 4
The link and an exit
Tap here: [link]. If anything is not right, reply and we will fix it.
The last part is easy to overlook. Inviting problems to come to you directly shows confidence and often turns a possible bad review into a repaired relationship. It is not a way to keep unhappy customers off Google; the link is still there for everyone.
Before you copy: set up your link and number
You need your direct review link first. If your Google Business Profile is not set up yet, read how to verify your Google Business Profile. Then:
- Open your Business Profile and copy the link that asks for reviews.
- Save the templates below as quick replies in WhatsApp Business so you can insert them with a short shortcut.
- Send from your business number, so customers recognise it.
Messaging customers is covered by Singapore’s PDPA. A message about a service the customer just received is different from a marketing blast. Check the current rules at pdpc.gov.sg, and read our guide on PDPA and WhatsApp marketing. This is general information, not legal advice.
Template 1: the standard request (plain English)
This works for almost any service business. It is polite and neutral.
Standard request
Copy and pasteTemplate 2: a light, Singlish-friendly version
Many Singapore customers are comfortable with a relaxed tone, especially regulars and home-service customers. Keep it friendly, not sloppy. If you are unsure, use the plain English version.

Template 3: other languages
If your customers prefer Mandarin, Malay or Tamil, you can offer a short message in that language. Have a native speaker check your wording before you use it, because a translation that sounds stiff or wrong hurts more than it helps. Here is a simple Mandarin example you can ask someone fluent to review.

Each business has its own moment and its own words. Adjust these.

One reminder is enough. Wait about three days, keep it lighter than the first message, and give people an easy way out.

Casual reminderWriting a reminder
Do
- Wait a few days
- Keep it shorter than the first message
- Say “no pressure” and mean it
- Stop after one
Avoid
- Send daily nudges
- Guilt trip (“we helped you, so...”)
- Offer a reward to speed things up
- Change the story to pressure them
Replying when a customer answers
You will get three kinds of reply. Here is how to handle each.
Customer replies and your response
| They say | You reply | |
|---|---|---|
| Positive | “Sure, will do.” | Thank them. Do not keep nudging. |
| Problem | “Actually the lights still do not work.” | Apologise, ask for details, and offer to fix it. Do not argue. Do not ask them to delay or remove anything. |
| No thanks | “I prefer not to.” | “No problem at all, thank you for your business.” Then leave it. |
Reply to a problem
Service recoveryIf the customer then chooses to post a critical review, that is their right. Reply politely and professionally. See how to reply to a negative Google review.
What to avoid in any template
- Do not offer anything in return. No discount, voucher, lucky draw or free service. Google’s policy prohibits incentives for reviews. Check the current wording at support.google.com.
- Do not ask only for five stars. Ask for an honest review of their experience.
- Do not send a rating question first and the Google link only to those who answer well. Everyone should get the link. See the policy guide.
- Do not message cold contacts. Only people who actually dealt with you.
- Do not copy and paste the identical message to hundreds of people in a group. Send individually.
Timing and sending tips
A typical day for one customer
- Morning
Job done
Customer is told they will get a short WhatsApp.
- Same day
Send template
Use the version that fits the job and language.
- Day 3
One reminder
Only if there has been no reply.
- Later
Reply to the review
Thank them on Google, whatever the rating.
Avoid very early mornings and late nights. Mid-morning, early evening or a weekend afternoon tends to feel natural for most Singapore customers. Use your own experience of when customers reply to you.
With Website.sg, one-tap WhatsApp review requests go out after each job from the same system that holds your customer chats, and a short rating page with a private feedback option is part of the setup. The Google link is offered to every customer you ask.
A quick mini case
Mei runs a small home cleaning business. She used to say, “Can you review us on Google?” at the door and felt awkward every time. Now she saves the standard template as a WhatsApp quick reply, adds the customer’s name and sends it as she packs up. She puts one reminder in her phone for three days later. When a customer says something was missed, she goes back first and asks afterwards. She does not promise herself a number of reviews. She just keeps the routine.
